Bluesfest International Windsor
Bluesfest Windsor was a three-day blues and roots music festival held annually in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It took place outdoors at the Riverfront Festival Plaza on the banks of the Detroit River, in front of Caesars Windsor and opposite Motown. The show was presented from Friday to Sunday every year on the second weekend of July. In 2010, Bluesfest adopted a revised three day schedule, from Friday to Sunday.
The festival has grown in size and grandeur since its initial appearance in 1995, and in 2008 it attracted an estimated audience of 30,000 people throughout the weekend.〔Rebecca Turcotte and Sonja Puzic, "Just having a good time," ''The Windsor Star'', July 14, 2008, sec. In a March 15, 2013, Facebook post, Gould said he was ending a 10-year run at Bluesfest: “I am resigning from my position of Director of Bluesfest London to pursue other ventures and spend more time with my children.”
